In 1948, Hans Clemens and his sister started making bears by hand out
of the old blankets left behind by the German armed forces.
Soon after he opened a toy shop in Mannheim but was asked so many times
for his wonderful bears that he started his own bear factory.
As the German economy started to flourish, demand increased dramatically
and this has continued for over 60 years. Indeed for collectors we have a nostalgic 60th Anniversary Bear!
Today Clemens is run by Hans' son, Peter, and his wife but the unmistakable
style and quality of the bears has not changed over all these years.
The company motto is "for our children only the best is good enough"
and all Clemens employees take a special pride in making the most beautiful
teddies and plush animals.
The famous red Clemens label is a symbol which guarantees quality, unique
designs, skilled craftmanship and the very best and safest materials.

The
Nostalgic Collection
Clemens make traditional bears in assorted sizes from 10cm to 60cm,
each made of the finest mohair. For collectors, we have a special
50th Anniversary Clemens Bear limited to only 499 pieces worldwide.

Ren
Bears
In small limitations, Ren Bears have a unique style of their own and
are affordable and collectable. The choices of mohair are wonderful
and the collection has many undressed bears as well as a clown, golfer,
chimney sweep, chef and sailor.

Jack
& Marion Finhold
For over 10 years, Jack and Marion Finhold have been designing the
most unusual bears. Their classic features are big feet and paws and
the range includes a stork carrying a baby, a mouse called Pedro and
Teddy Flynn all dressed up with scarf and socks for another cold winter's

Martina
Lehr
Martina Lehr has won several awards for her stylish bears which are
beautifully recreated by Clemens. The collection includes a rabbit
called Frederick eating a juicy carrot, two marionette bears on their
own musicbox, a series of lying bears and two musical and mechanical
bears, Betthumpfer and Xaferl, whose heads rotate as a soothing melody
is played. |

Artists
In very small limitations which are highly collectable, several other
world famous artists have their bears made exclusively by Clemens.
The limitations are strictly controlled by the factory so collectors
can be assured of the integrity of the bear and that it will be a

Clemens
Plush Animals
Made of high quality plush, Clemens also produce a lower priced collection
of bears, pandas and soft toys for the toy shops and specialist teddy
bear shops alike. These affordable animals are loveable and cute and
ideal for a child's first soft toy.
